For years now, I have been brainstorming ideas about combat, an evidence-based curriculum (rather than speculation and/or personal preferences as in most systems), a methodology as well as the set values that barricade a martial-arts practice. My goal is to do my part in bringing BJJ back to its fighting roots and the values that are descriptive of the second-wave (as described in my second book: The Rise and Evolution of BJJ). I decided to begin implementing some of these ideas starting today. The curriculum is built on statistics from MMA fights, the methodology is borrowed from various fighting systems and the values and philosophy are influenced by Carlson Gracie, Greek-Agonism and some ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche (particularly where they overlap). I will explain all this in more detail in a forthcoming video and book. For now, it suffices to say that the class is available from Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 6pm and are taught by me. In time, I will be sharing more of my ideas regarding Agon Combat Jiu-Jitsu. #Year1
